• The 'Oh to be a Bird' vase has been hand-painted with care by Sasha using a variety of techniques, wax resit and a speckled 'rain' glaze on the inside.

Inspired by the Inner Hebride Islands of Scotland, this playful artwork celebrates nature with uplifting playfulness. A mix of techniques have been used to illustrate the Scottish wildlife in a contemporary way. Sasha spent half her childhood on the Isle of Mull which has played a huge role inspiring her work and sparking her love for nature. This vase in particular references childhood memories of bird watching.

    Text reads:

Oh to be a bird flying high up in the sky,

to be part of a flock watching the world go by,

to see things in a new way with more perspective,

to appreciate each day with no superior objective,

that to live, enjoy and to love,

to keep soaring through the sky above.

A sky which has no limit like you,

so spread your wings and enjoy the view,

go with your instinct and follow,

fly like you are that beautiful swallow.

This vase is unique and one of a kind, there no more variations.
