The 'Birds and Bees' is a one of a kind plate which has been handmade and fired as one of the first of Sasha's 'Sculpted by Sasha' artworks. Handbuilding the clay as well as painting the artwork is something Sasha has been longing to do for some time.
 
Painted with oxides and a satin matt glaze finish, this artwork explores the theme of love and nature; questioning the romance vs the function. Whilst nature is suffering in the current climate crisis, Sasha felt drawn to paint the 'Birds and the Bees'.  It is a saying we all know, however with bees being endangered Sasha wanted to celebrate these small creatures which bring life and and keeping the world spinning through pollination. Surrounded by a border of kisses and leafy motifs this artwork is a celebration of nature with a strong reference to the symbolism of love. 
 
This decorative artwork has been made and fired by Sasha in her London studio and is made to be a statement showpiece for your home, hung on a wall or displayed on a stand. Sasha has signed and dated the artwork on the reverse.
 
This plate is not dishwasher friendly.
